Plastic Bottles and BPA Study
An article appearing in the May 22, 2009 issue of ScienceDaily concerning a study conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health. The study addressed levels of the chemical bisphenol A (BPA) found in humans drinking from polycarbonate bottles. (Note: The article points out that some manufacturers of polycarbonate bottles have now voluntarily eliminated BPA from their products. Canada also banned use of BPA in polycarbonate baby bottles in 2008)
